This unit covered modal auxiliary verbs which are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. These verbs can be used to express obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. The active and passive voice was also introduced in this unit. The two types of relative clauses were covered - defining and non-defining. I had the most difficult time with the phrasal verbs. I had trouble identifying the difference between a transitive separable, intransitive, and a transitive inseparable phrasal verb.
