This unit focuses on the importance of receptive skills, reading and listening. Both are essential to communicating in English and usually come more naturally than speaking and writing; so, it is very important to allow the students to understand how to read/listen and pick up on context to self-improve. The different ways of reading and listening should be taught as well once the students are able - skimming and scanning, etc.
