Tests and evaluations should be conducted regularly for a number of reasons. The first reason being so that you know where to place a student this is called the Diagnostic test. The next two test are Progress and Practice tests. The progress test is to see what the students have retained, and to prep them for the final evaluation. Progress test should be used periodically to gauge what language has been remembered and or acquired
