ESA is the main teaching pattern. This way of teaching motivates students and gets them warmed up for learning new points of the language. Followed by teaching of the concept of the language and putting into practice what they have learned. This ESA pattern can include many different ellicitation games, questionnaires or activities. It is actually better to use a variety of ellicitation techniques to keep high interest in the classroom. Correction is essential in the study stages but should be kept to a minimum in other stages of teaching to encourage students to talk freely.
