The brief overview of this unit has taught me about the qualities of a good Teacher and I have learnt that a Teacher should care about her teaching and care more about the learning of the students. I have also learnt about the important roles of a teacher and I have learnt with this that a teacher needs to take charge of the class, build confidence around students, also should encourage feedbacks and corrections, also needs to guide students individually. I also learnt qualities of a good learner and in this I learnt that there is always a willingness to ask questions from the students . I also learnt about differences of adult and young learners which taught me that, young learners are open minded to learning new languages, while adult learners have fixed view for language.I also learnt different English language ability of learners, where it was stated that we have the beginners, the elementary, the pretermediate, the intermediate, the upper intermediate and advanced learners. I also learnt reasons why students are motivated to study English which includes for travel purposes, for future career prospects and so on. It was a pleasureable unit and I learnt alot as stated above. Thank you
