Unit 2 is a general condensation of which are the part of the speech and what their main functions are. Every single part of the speech is summarized in its minimum number of functions as every teacher should have proper knowledge of this particular subject.
However, in my opinion, the goal of this unit is to make future teachers understand the importance of grammar and make them realize that teaching a second language means studying, exercising and fining your skills every day.
