Unit 12 discussed two different productive skills, writing and speaking. The unit first discussed speaking, why it's important, and why fluency and accuracy are both important. We discussed different activities to use in the classroom to get students to speak, recognize and remedy unconfident students, and then provided an example of a lesson/activity. We also discussed writing and why handwriting, spelling, layout, punctuation, and creative writing are all skills that need to be developed. A lesson example was provided at the end of the lesson, along with several different games for teachers to use to develop productive skills.
