In unit 16 we talked about some more complex topics. The topics discussed were conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are basically "if/when..then" statements. There are four different conditionals and then a mixed conditional. The rules of these conditionals were explained and then several teaching ideas presented. Reported speech covered when, in spoken speech, we tell someone what someone else has said. Several different rules were presented on how tenses are changed when reporting speech. Also rules for pronouns were given. Teaching ideas such as intermediaries role playing and media interviews were given to help teach reported speech.
