This unit was a surface look at the different types of assessments and tests associated with learning English as a foreign language. The sequence of tests was presented: Placement, Diagnostic, Progress, Final, Practice, External. Most agree that continuous assessments, not always in the form of tests, are important for making sure students are retaining the material and are able to apply it in various real and simulated situations.
