I've learned in this lesson the different methodologies and techniques in teaching English that has been used for the past 3 centuries. Every methodology has its own aim and reason to why it was developed.
Though it may have some positive sides to it, there can also be some negative factors as well. The most recent methodology was developed by Jeremy Harmer and corporates most of the previous methodologies together. This methodology is called the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate). It has been known to be the most effective method of teaching English and is being used in the TEFL program.
