Unit Five was about Managing Classes. First, the lesson presented 3 aspects of the teacher's behaviour: eye contact, gesture and voice. Then the lesson discussed grouping students either as a whole class, as individuals, as pairs or as groups. The advice given was to determine the best groupings depending on the activities and student's needs, but also to vary the groupings for interest. The lesson gave helpful pointers about the teacher's position, talk time, rapport and discipline.
