This unit was a good example of what a teacher should do and should not do. The first video was confusing and distracting for me to watch as the teacher continually was messing with his lesson plans and making noises with the papers he was using. His speech would sort of fade away in volume, or to mumbling, but he was also a challenge to hear and understand becasue of constantly making nosies with the paper. He also seemed distracted, unprepared, and condescending with his responses which left me with a negative feeling towards the teacher and feeling sorry that the students were being subjected to this style of teaching. The second lesson was well organized, engaging, and well-spoken, and the teacher used the students' names with respect and kindness while comfortably including and encouraging all students. The objective and process of the lesson was consistently and clearly conveyed to the students through verbal communication, fill in the blanks, and class conversation. As a person watching, I felt positive and happy about the teacher and the students' interaction.
