In this unit I have learned that teaching the different components of the English language requires thought into how to teaching. That for example, teaching functions is best done by activating knowledge in the students and that typically teaching structure of a language should be done with some structure via straight arrow or patchwork lesson types. I have also learned to identify which vocabulary is to be prioritised in teaching by factors such as it's frequency in language and it's difficulty to learn or teachability, bearing in mind our students.
