As the text about receptive skills said, all four skills are equally important since they are part of what communication is. Eventhough, at leats in this country, people feel those skills are already managed by them (with some adult students) there's always a lot to imrpove. How to help them to achieve this is also something that has to be taken seriously and knowing how to address to this is a powerful tool so students can communicate effectively in every aspect of the language.
