I have learnt from this unit that there a number of ways to assess students language levels and this is through tutorials, evaluation by students and tests.l have learnt that its appropriate to give test at different stages in a course but we should be mindful of the kind of test we give beening it placement, diagnostic, progress,achievement test to mention but a few. I have learnt when each test is given and what each test is geared towards. For instance, placement test is given to assist the formation of groups of students at the same level , the achievement test given at the end of a course.
