There are a ton of different activities we can perform within our lessons. These activities though need to be structured in such a way that makes the students learn in an efficient way. The ESA approach gives the students the ability to first engage with the language they are learning in a relaxed and comfortable way. The study stage gives us the chance to help build up the grammar and vocabulary of the student in ways that they can retain the information. The activate stage gives the student to use the language they have now learned in order to reinforce the new language. This structure can be mixed and matched as long as the engage phase is first and the activate stage is last. The ESA method is proven to work well and gives the teacher a very structured way to plan lessons. These methods also can be used for all different levels however it is most efficient for lower levels.
