For teachers, having the first class must be nerve racking because in this situation a teacher is not aware of the students level. With that said, it is easy to learn from this unit to produce activities in your first class to elicit what the students know and don't know. Furthermore, having large classes I think it's a good idea to place students in groups with strong and weak students therefor the stronger students can help the weaker students.
