This unit was a great help in getting to know the best ways to set up a class depending on a variety of factors. It helped prepare me for my time as a teacher by providing set up options that can work for small or large classes doing any sort of activity. The part that stuck with me the most is how the desks can be set up in a way that asserts my position or fades me into the background. It was also interesting to learn about all of the things that simple eye contact and gestures can accomplish. I will feel far more comfortable heading into my own class now in regards to establishing a rapport and keeping it organized.
