Unit 11 provided information on the receptive skills, listening & reading. In this unit, we studied the reasons for reading and listening, how we read and listen, the different skills associated with both reading and listening, and problems when teaching these skills that could arise. It is very important to provide the class with topics that are generally interesting and to make sure to provided a variety of topics over the term. The end of the lesson provided a patchwork example and several different worksheets teaching a reading portion of these skills.
