This unit was a good, brief overview of teaching the two receptive skills: reading and listening. The example of teaching about Elvis Presley, and the associated lesson plan, is a blueprint for using both modalities around the same topic. Going through it all as one patchwork lesson was probably better than showing two straight arrow lessons, one for listening and one for reading. The sample materials could also prove helpful as references for worksheet structure and format.
