Unit 4 discussed the four tenses under the general umbrella "present tenses", namely: present simple tense, present continuous tense, present perfect tense, and present perfect continuous tense. For each of the tenses, the affirmative, negative, and question forms, were explained. Examples were also given for each form. One learning that stood out for me in this unit is the fact that we have 12 tenses in all. If you had asked me prior to studying this unit how many tenses there are, I would have answered "three": past, present, and future. Apart from that important information, most helpful for me was the discussion of the usage of each tense, as it was able to clearly differentiate the instances when a particular tense must be used.
