This unit describes different tests that can be used in different scenarios. It gave me a better idea of what can be done to gauge the levels of different students at the start and during the school year. One thing I liked about this unit is that it explained that formal testing or progress tests are usually not popular among teachers but they are required for the school to see where students are at. In my opinion, I believe that constant observation of progress in the classroom is a more effective way, but I also agree that something needs to be done in order track progress. Lastly, the course gives many examples of different external tests to make note of that are taken.
