In this unit I have learned about the 4 different tenses included under the header of the present tense; simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous, I have learned to differentiate between the four by mainly their form, albeit their usages aid in the distinction through the definition of certain criteria such as wether the action is complete or ongoing and wether it has effects on the present situation. I have also learned differences for the usage of for and since in this case for periods or for a specific point in time, as well as been and gone marked differently by wether the action is complete or ongoing. Lastly I learned a few ways to activate this knowledge in my students via a few varied activities.
