This unit broke down teaching certain general parts of English to EFL learners. These include vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Although it's difficult to predict what vocabulary will be appropriate for any class, knowing how to adapt to situations, classes, and student levels is important. Especially for older students, functional language for specific situations might prove to be the best basis for most lesson content. I have enjoyed reading through the sample classes based on ESA structures, and this unit was no different, including a few good examples of full lessons to illustrate the application clearly.
