This unit provided two videos of a lesson given by a teacher in two different ways. The differences between the videos presented the effectiveness of different teaching styles. In the first video, the teacher was rushed and did not organize the lesson and explain it clearly to the students. In the second lesson, the teacher was patient and friendly and effectively taught the lesson to the students, making sure they followed along. The first lesson was not effective or successful with the students as they were confused and intimidated by both the teacher and lesson. In the second lesson, the students were interested and all participated when prompted by the teacher and seemed much more comfortable by him. This unit was beneficial in showing how to be an effective teacher in the classroom regarding attitude and lesson planning and presentation.
