After reading unit 8, I remembered some aspects about future tenses that I forgot about. For example, I wasn't sure what the differences were between "future simple" and "going to future" tenses until after I read about them. I wasn't aware that "going to future" was used for predictions based on present evidence as opposed to "future simple" where the predictions are not based on present evidence. As a native English speaker, I never really thought much about these small differences, but I feel that after learning about them, I have more confidence in being able to teach about them. I also really liked the interesting teaching ideas presented in this unit such as "trying to get out of the date from hell". Overall, this unit was a great refresher for me, and I feel more confident about future tenses now.
