Unit 9 highlights the importance of lesson planning. By following the Straight Arrow ESA lesson structure, teachers are able to create a lesson which is most effective for their students. Having a lesson plan allows the teacher to have a plan and provides a resource to which they can refer to in order to have structure in their classroom. While this plan provides a structure, it should work as a guideline rather than a strict outline for the class.
