This unit has to do with evaluating students. In a class informal evaluation is an ongoing and using overt feedback procedures. When it comes to formal evaluation the three methods used are tutorials, evaluations of the courses by students and tests. The kinds of tests taught were placement tests, diagnostic tests, tests for checking progress and practice tests to prepare for external tests. Various external tests were mentioned, the most familiar being TOEFL and the Cambridge Assessment tests.
