This unit discussed the two productive skills of speaking and writing and gave guidance on the activities involved in enhancing each of the skills. A section of the unit also discussed how to plan for accuracy and fluency and where each is most appropriately taught in the three stages of a lesson plan. Sample lessons were given to show how the productive skills can be used in the engage, study and activate stages of a lesson.
