This lesson was interesting in teaching me about lesson plans. While it is important to have a guideline and basic structure to your lessons, it’s nice to know that I am able to go “off script” if necessary, depending on the students. Having a basic lesson plan will help keep the class structured and on topic, but having the ability to deviate will help with the creativity and enjoyment of the students. While I know it will take some time to get to a point where I am experienced enough to go more off book and more creative, it’s nice to know I will be able to do that in the future.
