This unit consists of teaching new language which is included teaching vocabulary, structure , and function of the target language . We need to apply ESA methods to introduce new language. For teaching grammar and vocabulary, straight arrow structure is more common whereas function-based lessons are more commonly approached with boomerang or patchwork ESA structure. Numbers of factors we need take into consideration when we need to teach vocabulary, grammar or structure, and function. For teaching vocabulary factors such as: similarity to students’ own language,similarity to English words already known,spelling and pronunciation, and appropriacy. In grammar area students need to know what the language mean,how it is used, what the grammatical form is , and how it is said or written. Language also consists of functions which include inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing ,suggesting,etc. Teaching language functions include the appropriacy of the language in terms of the kind of language they use.
