In this unit, I learned about the different kinds of tests and their uses in assessing students: placement test--finding the correct class for a student; diagnostic--providing the teacher with the necessary information about the students' level and needs for the commencing course; progress exams--discerning students retention and acquired abilities during the course so far; practice tests--preparation for external exams.
