This was a very informative unit that gave me a lot of ideas about teaching techniques and methods, but also good insights into how to approach engaging, motivating, correcting, and praising students. I really like the ESA model because it seems so effective in helping students to learn by first engaging them and eliciting knowledge, then studying and have the focus be on the structure of the language and pronunciation, and finally activating it with creative games, role-play, or writing. I am eager to come up with my own lesson plans.
