This unit focuses on the two other skills of language- speaking and writing. These skills are the productive skills and are different from reading and listening in that they requirement a different level of engagement and often include games. When teaching speaking it is often important to use activities, whether they be focuses on accuracy or fluency. For writing, it is less important to focus on things such as penmanship and punctuation but to make sure that students understand correct layout and spelling, as these may differ greatly between languages.
