This unit was specifically insightful for me in identifying how to approach reading and writing separately and what to focus on with the students. I still feel a little uncertain when it comes to the ESA process and which part of the process should include exactly which activity. It seems that there is no strict boundaries and as a teacher you should be able to guide the students confidently while maintaining their interest and enthusiasm intuitively. Every student is unique and I have come across students who are more comfortable writing because they have time to assess and correct what they need to say. I have also seen students who are really reluctant to write and prefers to speak only. One of the reasons might be spelling errors so this leads me to think how important the study section of the lesson is. As a teacher you need to make sure the newly introduced vocabulary is understood and digested before moving on to the activity part of the lesson.
