Some great equipment and teaching aids suggested and discussed in this unit and many online resources made available. The list of online literature: books, poems, dictionaries is marvelous. Various teaching aids were recommended and also made accessible. As i work my way through the list I have been able to highlight which websites would be most applicable in teaching in Huntly, New Zealand and how the students here would benefit especially eg: Dave's ESL Cafe'.
As a ESOL teacher there are also many websites listed where I can access suitable media and resources. Eg: The new internationalist in easier English.
How and when to use media/technology in the classroom is the key to its effectiveness. For me personally in a small community it's a matter of cost and accessibility - so reassuring that it's use in class is not essential for good teaching or productive learning!
