This was a very interesting unit in which I discovered the advantages and disadvantages regarding the use of course material including authentic and created material. As a language student myself in French and Spanish, I found the use of authentic material extremely useful and I would like to explore this in my own teaching of English as a Foreign Language. I was advised by my teachers to use authentic material as much as possible; I feel this really benefitted my learning and speaking and listening skills particularly when I visited countries in which the languages are spoken.
