Modal auxiliary verbs help when speaking about ability, requests, advice, obligations and etc... Unlike other verbs, modals don’t change form according to person. They just reflect it’s modality and the attitude of the speaker to the action. I think role plays or the question and answer method with games will help students understand more and use these modals naturally. When we don’t want to express who performed the action or we don’t know who performed the action, we use the passive voice. The passive voice is used to show interest in the person or object that experiences the action rather than the doer of the action. I think this can be learned easily through worksheets and matching games (active and passive).i Relative clauses may add meaning to a sentence, but if they are removed, the sentence will still function.
