Upon completing this unit, I realized that there were many ways to express the future. Although this unit introduced seven ways to express the future, I only focused on “be going + infinitive” and the future uses of the present continuous. When I read the five ways to express the future taught in this unit, I noticed that they were very uncommon ways to express the future. These other tenses will most likely be taught to higher level English speakers. This unit has prepared me to teach advanced topics in the future and has given me exposure and notes to refer to in the future, if I come across these tenses in my career in TEFL teaching.
