This was an interesting lesson. I learned to think of productive skills in a new way. I have always considered speaking to be the most important skill in language learning, but writing must be considered also. Although I still believe that speaking is more important than writing. For example, if you are visiting a foreign country, what need would you have to write in that language. If you hope to work in a business where you are required to communicate entirely in the second language, however, it would be necessary to be able to write in that language.
