In Unit 15 I learned about the evaluation and testing aspect of language teaching. It is still mind-blowing to me to understand that there are so many different types of tests available for students to take. Before reading this chapter I was only aware of the TOEIC exam. After reading this unit I was exposed to many however, it appears that many of the different external examinations available for students have very similar criteria. Just slight adjustments in the material to fit more concentrated areas in language, an example would be the BEC business English Certificates exam.
