This unit gave a good overview of the different kinds of tests a student might encounter and for which I would need to prepare them. I am sure the idea of preparing for an external exam, especially one that could determine employment or university prospects, is an especially stressful one for students. The idea of practice testing and why students would be eager to utilize this method was enlightening. Additionally, I learned a lot from the information on more casual assessment versus formal evaluation and why both are necessary in a classroom.
