When deciding to receive a TEFL certification I have always been excited about the concept of teaching English, however, I knew that there would be inevitable difficulties in the process besides just teaching English. A task such as managing a classroom has always seemed intimidating to me. After completing this chapter I feel much better about why my capability for managing a class would be. Ideas such as how to maintain rapport, seating arrangements, and keeping the attention of students are concepts I had no understanding of going into this class.
