I felt like this unit was particularly helpful because I could see immediately how bad/good teaching can effect a classroom. I found that something as simple as smiling and giving affirmation can positively affect a classroom. In the first lesson the teacher was unorganized and rude to students; it was clear that this immediately put students on edge and didn't allow them to feel safe to participate. The teachers positive attitude in the second lesson allowed the students to feel comfortable to participate, even if they weren't sure if they were right.
