This lesson helped me apply most of the knowledge from previous units and put them into use with a lesson plan. I still struggle with boomerang style ESA, since I usually use Straight-Arrow style ESA. My students like to talk about their experiences or how they feel before I start a class. I try to direct the Engage activity to what they like to talk about to help my students relax, but I also create a context for the lesson's aim for that day.
