This unit is about the different materials used in teachings such as course books and learning materials. Some materials that can be used are authentic, meaning that they are done by Native English speakers. Examples are newspapers, magazines, songs or video clips. Another kind is the created material, which adheres to the learners level and needs of the lesson. Materials, whether authentic or created should not dictate the entire lesson. These are aids in developing a specific skill for a specific lesson.
