It is important for the teacher to establish rapport with the students, find out about their interests and their level of English. To help a teacher do so there are some surveys and questionnaires to be done before the first class, if possible. Warmers can be a good idea to engage the students and help them relax. Some warmers include games like hangman, pictionary, tongue twisters and memory games.
