This unit focuses on reading and listening in the English language. Both reading and listening are equally important when it comes to the development of a new English learner. There are two different reasons for reading; for a purpose, and for entertainment. There are more problems with listening than reading when it comes to learning English. Reading captures the text on paper and students may read it countless times. This gives them opportunity to think about it or figure out what the context of the language. Listening is not captured and fo not have the time to figure out what was said to them as long as a reader.
