Lesson plans can be very effective and useful, especially as a beginner teacher, making one that is flexible yet, detailed and prepared. Not only is it a record and useful in keeping track of lessons completed but makes preparing a substitute teacher very easy to keep the learning rhythm going.
A self assessment sheet is also productive in becoming a better teacher. Timing may be the most difficult thing to plan out, but with time, the teacher will be better able to predict how long certain phases take.
