Personally I have found this unit to be rather challenging, but very informative and interesting - meaning that parts of speech are actually an essential part of understanding basic English grammar. This unit has given me a greater understanding of how sentences and words can be formed and changed depending on the part of speech being used,and the different tenses, i.e base, past simple, past participle and present participle. From this unit I have learnt that it is HOW the word is used, and not always what the word actually is! According to the sentence formation, certain parts of speech can change the sentence entirely.
